The Off the Page Literary Celebration, hosted by Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources, features bestselling authors, writing workshops, book signings, and more during the month of November. All Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources locations participate. Events are also held at partner locations like Ringling College of Art and Design, or other offsite locations. Join us for a fun filled Family Day at Shannon Staub Library! We’ll have ice cream, story time, a petting zoo, and fun for the whole family. The day's schedule includes: 10:15 a.m. - Family story time 11 a.m. - Author Jonathan Stutzman and illustrator Heather Fox of the hilarious A Llama Book series join us for a program and book signing. Heather Fox and Jonathan Stutzman are an award winning, best-selling author and illustrator of stories for children. Together they’ve created books that include the Llama Destroys the World trilogy, "Don’t Feed the Coos!", the Fitz and Cleo series, "Butts are Everywhere" and several other books for young readers. Jonathan is also the author of the beloved Tiny T. Rex series and many more! They have received several state book awards as well as the NAIBA Book of the Year and a Junior Library Guild award. 12 p.m. - Petting zoo, craft And we'll have an ice cream truck onsite from 12-1 p.m.! First 200 visitors eat free. Barnes and Noble will be on site selling books.
