Join us for this exciting quarterly author series for homeschoolers! Created by professional educators with the non-profit One Word at a Time, Inc., this class will consist of a presentation, writing activities, and a virtual livestream with Kwame Alexander and popular midgrade and teen authors. The livestream includes book talks, writing lessons, and a live Q&A session. The special guest author for April is National Book Award and Newbery Honor winning author, Daniel Nayeri. This program is recommended for students ages 8 to 14 years old. Registrants must be present in the branch to access the presentation. Each child must register for each session individually in order to participate. Students who are registered and do not show up without notifying the library in advance may forfeit their spot in future sessions. Students are welcome to bring a bagged lunch or snacks. Caregivers are welcome to stay for the presentation as well. Educational materials will be provided to students during the program and to take home.
