DESCRIPTION:Join us for this exciting quarterly author series for homeschoo
 lers! Created by professional educators with the non-profit One Word at a 
 Time\, Inc.\, this class will consist of a presentation\, writing activiti
 es\, and a virtual livestream with Kwame Alexander and popular midgrade an
 d teen authors. The livestream includes book talks\, writing lessons\, and
  a live Q&A session. The special guest authors for October are James Ponti
 \, New York Times bestselling author of the City Spies series\, and Kwame 
 Mbalia\, author of the popular Tristan Strong series. This program is reco
 mmended for students ages 8 to 14 years old. Registrants must be present i
 n the branch to access the presentation. \n\nEach child must register for 
 each session individually in order to participate. Students who are regist
 ered and do not show up without notifying the library in advance may forfe
 it their spot in future sessions. Students are welcome to bring a bagged l
 unch or snacks. Caregivers are welcome to stay for the presentation as wel
 l. Educational materials will be provided to students during the program a
