DESCRIPTION:Join us for this exciting quarterly author series for homeschoo
 lers! Created by professional educators with the non-profit One Word at a 
 Time\, Inc.\, this class will consist of a presentation\, writing activiti
 es\, and a virtual livestream with Kwame Alexander and popular midgrade an
 d teen authors. The livestream includes book talks\, writing lessons\, and
  a live Q&A session. The special guest author for February is New York Tim
 es bestselling author\, Nic Stone. This program is recommended for student
 s ages 8 to 14 years old. Registrants must be present in the branch to acc
 ess the presentation. \n\nEach child must register for each session indivi
 dually in order to participate. Students who are registered and do not sho
 w up without notifying the library in advance may forfeit their spot in fu
 ture sessions. Students are welcome to bring a bagged lunch or snacks. Car
 egivers are welcome to stay for the presentation as well. Educational mate
 rials will be provided to students during the program and to take home.\n\
